DATABASE of currently here registered " MILLENNIUM CUP EDITION " Models

This section lists all known and currently circulating "MILLENNIUM CUP EDITION" models.

  • The first table shows the owners already recorded with whom contact has been established.

  • The second table shows the database of cars, which at that time were among the 80 cars in Puebla.
    "CUP EDITION MILLENNIU BEETLE" were modified.

This car should also receive its place and the necessary recognition within the VW family.

And if it only serves the well-being and respect of the Beetle fan community!

 

Currently known "MILLENNIUM BEETLE" models **

* The specified engine codes are taken from the sticker on the timing belt cover!
However, all service books for these cars (PR CODE stickers) list an APH code!
Where were these stickers made?

The inaccurate performance figures and the ECU updates at ABT can be explained as follows:

  • In Germany, VW's quality control department required that an engine approved for the Beetle be installed, which was the AVC engine - at that time there was no more powerful "approved" engine for the Beetle... the AVC engine with 150 hp!

  • However, this engine option did not appeal to the clients from Dubai and
    So, after delivery to the Emirates, the ECUs were sent back to Germany, where they were...
    ABT were adapted.

  • According to an Al Naboohad employee in Dubai, the ECUs were increased to approximately 180 hp... Why approximately? ... the responsible ABT employee from back then only knew that the possible maximum output of 193 hp wasn't used due to the poor quality of gasoline in the Emirates.
    and increased the ECUs to 185 hp.

For 20 years now, I've been pestering VW, former employees, and well-known TV personalities.
