Developed and built as a project car for a single customer in the Emirates! Never officially registered in ELSA or KVS. Contemporary VW documents now prove that it was built by "VW RACING GmbH" ( under the supervision of VAG ! ).

Welcome to the website featuring images, videos, and information regarding the "CUP EDITION BEETLE."
The data published here originates from owners of these cars, as well as from sources in the UAE who personally witnessed the delivery of these vehicles to the official VW importer, "Al Naboodah," in Dubai.
Furthermore, it draws upon "oral and written" accounts from VW engineers—who played a pivotal role in the development and construction of both the RSI Beetle and the Cup Edition Millennium Beetle in Puebla, Mexico and, most recently, upon documentation from the former "VW RACING GmbH."
Given that the "RSI," "RACE CUP," and "CUP EDITION BEETLE" models bear a strong visual resemblance to one another, we have also endeavored to examine some of their specific "differences" in greater detail.
Regarding the subject of "Problem Cars" and the many questions surrounding them substantiated evidence (*)

Just Discovered — May 2026
Current versions (2026) of the VIN certificates issued by VAG, the first page features the following entry:
Delivered To: "VIP and Other Direct Customers"
Additionally on VAG's internal PR CODE lists for the vehicles (2026), a special PR Code has been identified:
PR No. SB7 - Control: "Dubai Vehicles"
Notably, the quotation marks appear exactly as shown here in the original list!
"Ultimate Project Oversight" was held by Volkswagen AG!
The project's "executive arm" was "VW RACING GmbH"!
The vehicle modifications were carried out within the Pilot Department in Puebla (VW Factory, Mexico)!
The reward for 20 years of research a victory for the New Beetle community as well!

(*) Recently, the first statements and documents from former VW personnel involved in this project—originating from Wolfsburg have surfaced. Some official data regarding the modified cars has now indeed been discovered within the KVS, and the "Dubai Beetle" has also surfaced in other VW documents! The circumstances surrounding the construction of these cars were already described in great detail and in the context of the development of the RSI in a 2020 report by a VW employee; this, too, is further corroborated by these documents.
